We remain open but following guidance

COVID-19 Update 24.03.20

As a bicycle, accessories and servicing shop we are one of the businesses that the Government has designated to stay open.

This is primarily to support essential workers who use or want to use cycling to make those essential journeys.

We are ensuring that we prioritise our efforts for this purpose while also doing all we can to keep our team and our customers safe. While everyone is allowed to keep cycling for exercise - following the latest guidance - we are open to provide support for you to continue to do this but please make sure you can justify your visit.

We will be offering both discounts and additional repair slots* to frontline NHS staff. Please just show any member of staff your ID card.

  • If you are enquiring about kit or accessories or servicing drop us an email with your enquiry in the first instance and we will come back to you. With social distancing requiring a 'one in, one out' policy please make sure that coming to the shop in person is only when essential.

  • ONE IN - ONE OUT. We will we working on a 'one in, one out' policy. Please knock on the door and wait until greeted by a member of staff.

  • We are regularly wiping down all contact points in the shop including bikes and kit handled by customers and staff

  • We have facilities for customer to wash their hands on arrival – please ask us to show you where to go

  • Customers will not be able to browse and handle the bikes and accessories. Please ask a member of staff what you are looking for and we will help you find it.

  • As much as possible we are wearing gloves when carrying out servicing and are wiping down bikes before they are handed back to customers

  • For our local customers who are isolated or worried about coming into the shop to pick up or drop of their bikes we offer a service to pick up/deliver back for you.

See more on pick up/drop off procedures below

  • It is with regret that we will need to suspend our group rides from the shop as a precaution until further notice.

  • We will keep people posted via the WhatsAPP groups if this changes.

We do encourage all of you to keep riding in the great outdoors while guidance allows. It's one of the best ways to keep your immune system strong and to keep a positive mindset going during these uncertain times.

There will be a point where the shop is likely to have to close and although the prospect of being inside for a significant period of time is daunting we know it will be the right thing to do for the community. We’d love you to keep in touch on social, share your favourite cycling routes, in-house workout tips, static bike stats – it’s going to be important to keep active, keep engaged and keep in contact.  Thank you for your support and see you, whether in person or on social, soon The Team at Richmond Cycles

· We will maintain a 2m distance between us

· We will handover the bike between us by leaving it against a safe structure it can be wiped down before we pick it* up or give back to you. This will not damage the paint or bike surfaces. * if we have gloves on we may not wipe down to take the bike.
