We try hard to be a ‘do it all’ bike shop but for the things we can’t do, we rely on friends and neighbours.

BellaVelo is a cycling group run by women for women and we’re making friends with lots of them. From Richmond Park laps, newcomers’ rides to riding your first 100 miles, BellaVelo is there to plan, encourage and support your cycling. The social events are pretty special too. Join the closed Facebook group at BellaVelo.cc

Performance Sport & Nutrition

Debbie Coughlin of Performance Sport and Nutrition is our friendly expert about what eat when in order maintain your energy on a ride and to stay well in between. Come to her in-store talk on 10 January 2018

Viva Velo

These guys have got bags of expertise in organising and hosting bespoke cycling trips, tweaked to suit the abilities and aspirations of your group or in this case – our group. Come ride with us 18 – 25 April 2018.

Custom Wheel Building

What’s the point of building wheels when your friends are the best wheel builders in the world?

We won’t build your wheels for you because Noble will do it better than us. They’ll do it better than anyone.

Noble make a Richmond Cycles special wheel that we’re very proud of. Each set is tuned to the rider and what he or she are likely to do with them. SW16 never seemed so cosmopolitan.

The Service Course

Girona is a hub for European cycling, and our friends at The Service Course are the hub for cycling in Girona.  With everything the itinerant rider might need and the best mechanic outside of South West London on the spanners,  we trust them to look after you royally. Coffee more than acceptable. Showers more modern than Roubaix. Say hello from us.

The Training Works

Classes, gym, personal training, massage, physiotherapy… The Training Works is a hub for normal folk who want to enjoy staying fit. Bang opposite St Margaret’s station and spread over three floors, it’s a flexible, friendly spot and we like hanging out there very much.

Local bike club

The SMCC are a different sort of cycling club. Started by people who enjoyed riding bikes together rather than old men trying to beat their PBs on the E72 25-mile course up and down the A12 at 6am on a Sunday morning, they’ve quickly grown into a big, friendly organisation. If you’ve ever tried to join a cycling club, you’ll know that “friendly” and “welcoming” are unlikely to be the first words on your lips. Encouraging for experienced riders and supportive to beginners, we can’t recommend them highly enough.

Indoor cycling studio taken to a new level:
Short on time and keen to make the most of the limited amount you have available? Ok, Richmond is a great place to ride, but it still gets dark or sometimes even gets wet… if you’ve got an hour, spend it at Digme Fitness. Just a brilliant facility, right in the middle of town. Nice people, too.

Club Cicli Artigianali

We’ve always got one or two of Bob’s classic bikes hanging in the shop. Here’s a link to his entire collection.

Cycle Hire

These guys are just over the bridge from us and in a lovely spot on the river. If you’re coming to Richmond for the day, hire a bike from them and explore our lovely town.

Specialist cycle insurers. Tell them Richmond Cycles sent you.

Real Ale

What could be better than a high street with a fantastic independent bike retailer in it?

A high street with a fantastic independent beer retailer too!

Come on!

Richmond Rugby.

Local and long established – just like us.

Yoga Loft Richmond

Richard overcame a chronic hip problem to find a whole new level of cycling that he’d previously thought had passed him by. He attributes this in no small part to increased mobility delivered by intensive hot yoga classes. These guys are local, independent, professional and dedicated. Check them out.

Our favourite little local charity and one with a global reach. Oh yeah – and they like to ride their bikes with us.

Bikes 4 Africa

Tired of your old bike? Rather than send it to the scrapheap, why not consider passing it on to our friends at Bikes 4 Africa. They’ll find a new home for it to continue it’s life in Africa. Talk to us in store about arranging a drop off to them.
